Dr. Linda Y. NorthDr. Linda North's academic training includes
a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Master of Science in Nursing, an Education Specialist degree, and a Ph.D.
in Higher Education Administration. Dr. North has over 25 years of experience as a professional educator, serving
in both faculty and administrative roles. Prior to being named Dean of Health Sciences at Southern Union State
Community College, Dr. North served as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs for Instructional Design at Alabama Southern
Community College. Since retiring from the Alabama College System, she has been serving as a consultant for Southern Union
State Community College. Dr. North has recently founded an educational consulting firm, The Learning Guides
(http://www.thelearningguides.com). Her years of experience in the classroom as well as her involvement in the
teaching learning initiative at Alabama Southern, provide her with a unique perspective in terms of effective
classroom strategies. |
